Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National park
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, the driver guide from Authentic Africa Safaris will pick you up and transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park. Cross via Cyanika Uganda and Rwanda border in Kisoro district and proceed to Rushaga in the southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park. Rushaga sector shelters the highest number of gorillas in the Bwindi forest. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your Lodge in Bwindi Forest
Day 2: Gorilla trekking & transfer to Kigali
Rise up very early and after your hot cup of coffee drive to Rushaga park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. The park wardens will guide you on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking to ensure safety and sustainable tourism. You will be put in a group of eight people and allocated a gorilla family to visit. The trek to meet the gorillas starts at 8:00 am and can last for between 2 to 7 hours. You will be allowed to spend an hour with a gorilla d family to learn and experience their human-like characters. Use an hour to take pictures, capture live videos and enjoy this lifetime experience. Besides gorillas, Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is home to several birds, primates, and ground insects that you will see. Hike down, meet your driver-guide and transfer back to Kigali to catch up with your connecting flight.
