Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be welcomed by our professional guide at the Airport in Kigali and set off to the north of Rwanda towards Volcanoes National Park the home to the mountain gorillas. Depending on the time of arrival, we shall visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village in the immediate neighborhood of the park. This village gives you the best Rwandan cultural experience as you interact with the locals most of who were poachers that are now reformed. You will later head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking
Start your day with a tasty breakfast at the lodge and set off to the park offices where you will be briefed about the guidelines for Gorilla tracking. A team of guides will take you through the briefing and later be divided in groups of 8 to go and search for the habituated Gorilla groups. After several minutes/hours in the forest as guided by the rangers, you will meet a habituated Gorilla group that you will be allowed to spend a full hour with. Return to the starting point to meet your guide and enjoy relaxation at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Kilimanjaro
After the morning breakfast at the lodge, you will set off with the driver to Kigali for a city tour as you prepare to head to Tanzania. The city tour involves visiting the Genocide memorial grounds and the city markets to interact with the locals as they go about their daily lives. You will have your lunch in Kigali and head to the Kigali Airport and head to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Tanzania.
Day 4: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast on this day, you will set off to Tarangire National Park through the beautiful countryside of the plains of Tarangire. You will do an evening game drive in the afternoon to catchup with the most beautiful wildlife including the big 5. Look out for lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, Rhions, impalas, Giraffes, eland, ostrich, cheetah, and many bird species. Return to the lodge later for relaxation. Dinner and overnight
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, you will depart Tarangire National Park and have an enroute game drive as you exit heading to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is mostly known for the Flamingos, tree climbing lions, herds of elephants, and a few other wildlife. You will have a game drive in the afternoon to catchup with these interesting creatures on the shores of Lake Manyara and the entire park. Dinner and overnight
Day 6: Transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater
You will set off after breakfast and drive towards the Ngorongoro Crater which is also another home to the big 5 including the only remaining Black Rhinos. Zebras, lions, Warthogs, elands, buffaloes, hippos, lions, cheetahs, hyenas and wildebeests among others. You will have an exclusive game viewing experience the entire afternoon until you return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Return to Arusha
After breakfast, you will set off for Arusha where you will have your lunch and head to the airport for your departure.
