Day 1: Mt Karisimbi Hike
You should be already in Kigali to do this 2 Days Mt Karisimbi hiking adventure. If you are in Kigali, you will have an early pick up at 5:00am to catch with a briefing at 7:00am. If you are already in Volcanoes National Park, well and good. The driver guide from Authentic Africa Safaris will pick you up and transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters where you will be registered and briefed on the safety of Mt Karisimbi Hiking. Thereafter, transfer to the hiking starting pint and begin the adventure. Hiking to the summit of Mt Karisimbi takes between 6-7 hours depending on your hiking speed and physical fitness. NOTE: if you are hiking along other travelers, the ranger’s speed is determined by the slowest person in the group. The slopes of Mt Karisimbi shelter endangered mountain gorillas (karisimbi gorilla family) which you wild definitely meet on a good day. Mt Karisimbi is the tallest volcano in the Virunga Massif which stand at 4507 meters above the sea level. Spend a night on the summit of Mt Karisimbi
Day 2: Descend & transfer to Kigali
Enjoy the sunrise breakfast at the summit of the tallest Mt Karisimbi. Enjoy spectacular views of Volcanoes Park from above and appreciate nature. Thereafter, descend to find your driver guide at the base of the volcano. Transfer to Kigali International Airport and catch up with your flight
