Mountain gorillas

Mountain gorillas are undeniably the most visited primates in Rwanda. The endangered species live in Volcanoes National park located in north western Rwanda. The park is home to over 400 mountain gorillas which make it a premier gorilla tour destination in the Virunga Conservation Area. There are 10 gorilla families in Rwanda each visited by eight people per day. This guarantee availability of 80 gorilla permits each day for those interested in spending time with these amazing creatures. Chimpanzees

Chimps in Nyungwe can be trekked in either the main forest or the cyamudongo forest in the neighborhood. In most cases, travelers to Nyungwe Forest combine chimpanzee trekking with canopy walk which offer great aerial views of the forest, Virunga volcanoes and local communities.

Big five game

You cannot dare miss visiting to see the big five game in Akagera National Park in eastern Rwanda.
