Day 1: pick up and transfer to Volcanoes National park
Arrive at Kigali International Airport, meet and greet your driver-guide representing Authentic Africa Safaris. Drive through Kigali city to explore and enjoy the beauty of this small beautiful and clean city. Among eth places to visit in Kigali include Kigali genocide memorial Centre, Kimironko market, and Kigali Convention Centre. Thereafter, drive north-westwards to Volcanoes National park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The drive rime from Kigali to Volcanoes Park is roughly 3 hours with beautiful views of Rwanda’s rolling hills. Overnight stay at your lodge in the Park
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and departure
In the early morning, you will wake up, have a heavy breakfast, and drive to Kinigi Pak headquarters with your packed lunch. Arrive at the park headquarters, register, and assemble for a briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. You will then be guided into the jungle in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The trek can be short or long but you are 99% sure of meeting the endangered species at the end of the trek. The allows time with gorillas is strictly an hour for learning the lifestyles of gorillas and enjoying their company. You are reminded to keep a distance of at least 7 meters away from the mountain gorillas. The park is also home to endangered golden monkeys, forest elephants, and other wildlife.
