Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park
Our guide will pick you from your Hotel in a land cruiser and embark on journey to the Akagera National Park which is known for the beautiful wildlife, birds in the open Savannas of Rwanda. The beautiful scenery of the lush green vegetation on the countryside is incredible as you approach the park. you arrive in lunch hours, have lunch and launch an evening game drive to catchup with wildlife including the Impalas, zebras, Buffalos, lions, leopards, hyenas, giraffes, elephants and waterbucks among others. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game viewing and Lake Ihema
After breakfast, you will head out to the park for an exciting morning game viewing experience to catch up with the early risers like the hunting cuts, lions, leopards, Masai Giraffes, zebras, hyenas, wild dogs, warthogs, and a number of antelopes among others. You will then breakoff for lunch and launch a boat cruise on lake Ihema. Look out for hippos, crocodiles and a number of water birds. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest NP and Canopy Walk
After breakfast, you will be led out of Akagera National Park and head to the home of the closest cousins of humans in the wild at Nyungwe forest National park. you will arrive in the afternoon, have lunch and go for the exciting Canopy walk. The Canopy at Nyungwe is one of the 3 in the whole of Africa suspended 50 meters high above the forest. This activity is not for the fainthearted as you walk on an over 200meter suspended walkway. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, you will head to the park headquarters early enough to be briefed with other guests on what to do while in the forest with the Chimpanzees. You will then be led to the forest in search for habituated Chimps and after meeting them, you will be allowed to have an encounter with them for over full hour as the guides respond to all your questions. You will return to meet your guide, have lunch and drive off to Ruhengeri for Gorilla Tracking the following morning. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking
After breakfast, you will head to the park offices for briefing and soon be led into the high mountains for the habituated mountain Gorillas you will be allowed to spend a full hour with them as you study the behavior of each gorilla in the family. You will later retire at the lodge and rest as you wait for your final day to depart. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Return to Kigali
After breakfast, you will drive through the small towns and villages and arrive in Kigali, have lunch and head to the airport for departure.
